6. Past events
6.1 Grand Draw
Profits were substantially down this year. Thanks to Claire Todd for doing all the hard work along with the boards. Next year we’ll aim to run this as a Christmas event instead of an Easter one – as we used to.
6.2 Spring Fair 25/4 11:00 – 15:00
Tony (aged veteran) noted that as far as he was concerned this had been the best fair yet. The number of helpers for Friday night was unprecedented, and there were an awful lot of new faces helping on Saturday as well. There was a bit of an issue with the banners that had to be taken down at the request of the council before the event, but Mr Griffiths sorted this out. This may, however, be an issue for the uniform shop in the future. I don’t wish to single anyone out for thanks – there were an awful lot of people who helped, and it wouldn’t have been the same without their help collectively. Some notes ...
Krispy Kreme sold out. BBQ left overs were taken back by the butcher. All the drinks sold out (apart from the Pimms!). Ran out of cups for the tea and coffee. All was fine with the stalls in thr hall.A few quid (£44) made on the inflatables – but they kept people at the event. The crockery smash just didn’t quite work where it was – so we will be unlikely to run it again next year. The raffle was as spectacular as ever
7. Future Events
The new parents cheese and wine (the one with no cheese) will be 10/9/2009. The craft Fair will run 14/11/2009. This will be preceded by a 70’s disco (Beth is running this one) in October and succeeded by a quiz done by Daniel nearer Christmas at which the Grand draw will take place. Clement Danes did their version of the three peaks challenge which raised ridiculous amounts of money – Karen wants to mastermind something similar. The Christmas pudding order will be increased this year substantially, and at the Christmas Fair we will be selling both the puds and our own Christmas cards. “love cakes” was recommended as a supplier of cupcakes for the event. More events will be discussed at the next meeting
8. Uniform Shop
The shop was open this evening so no one was present at the meeting to report.

11. Date of Next Meeting
