1. Those Present Debbie Frayne, Sally Rimmer, Karen Skerton, Julie Dale, Sonia West, Richard Ashton, Tony Funnell, Marija Ullman, Tim Griffiths, Ken Park, Fiona Murphy, Sara DMoirah, Lucy Dalton, Sarah Munn, Louise Ungar, Gulfraz Riaz, Karen Frakes, Vanessa Mackay, Colin Bradshaw, Daniel Lazar

3a. Appointments The following posts will be becoming vacant over the next few months:
School Shop preferably two people who ought to be very local if possible
Web updating the Guild web site when necessary. Requires computer skills
Reporter the monthly newsletter. Requires writing and layout skills. Could be split between 2 people
Decorating heading up volunteers who make and put up decorations for events.
It was agreed that everyone would go away and examine their consciences with a view to volunteering for a post at the next meeting
4. Minutes of Last Meeting Agreed and signed off

6. Treasurers Report The treasurer had to leave after the AGM so no report was presented. It was noted that there is a requirement to train 2 lifeguards for the swimming at a cost of £250 per person.
7. Past events 7.1 11/9/2008 Cheese and Wine for new parents
Went well, good atmosphere, worthwhile
7.2 20/9/2008 Quiz
92 attendees in the end. Great flyers and tickets produced by Lou Ungar. About £500 profit made. The ploughmans was appreciated, and significantly cheaper than fish and chips. Thanks to Sally Rimmer, Karen Skerton, Beth Devonshire-Oates and Karen James. Note that all the leftovers were taken to the New Hope Trust in Watford and were gratefully received.
7.3 25/9/2008 Ad hoc quiz
Manned by Colin and plenty of other helpers so from our point of view went very well. Their ploughmans was presented as one platter per table which speeded up delivery
8. Future Events 8.1 7/10/2008 Prospective Parents
Set up at 5:30pm. Two shifts 5:30 7:30 and 7:30 9:00. Last year we had a donation of 4 trays of cakes and 2 trays of flapjacks from the school caterers. Flyer of the Craft Fair to be distributed to attendees
8.2 15/11/2008 Christmas Fair Planning
13 stalls have been booked so far. Parmiters school are holding their craft fair on the same day, but never mind!
Required are Virgin Vie for makeup stuff and chocoholics for chocolate stuff. Does anyone know any agents for these or similar?
Mr Weaver has offered a school band of wandering minstrels. It was suggested that Carol Singing might raise a few extra pounds as well.
A Christmas decoration designing competition will be held. Karen will explore this in conjunction with the art department.
Plans for a Christmas bauble tombola, a chocolate tombola and a bottle tombola.
Christmas and chocolate puddings from www.ultimateplumpuddings.co.uk will be ordered. Karen to investigate further. Lucy Dalton and Sarah Munn will be responsible for decorating the hall.
Tables are £20 each, or £30 for 2 adjacent
9. Uniform Shop Most new kit is now in stock. There have been no further complaints from PE teachers.
10. Ricky Reporter Welcome to the Guild from Karen, Invigilators for the January exams, Shop dates, Quiz thanks, Buy.at, Ideas for the Christmas fair, Design a Christmas decoration big prizes to be won, Committee vacancies, Raising money for 6th form library refurbish and reequip.
11. Any Other Business Y7 Directory Daniel has completed this but it needs proof reading. Vanessa Mackay has agreed to do this.
Scouts will run crockery smash in future and will donate a percentage to the school.
Guild catering equipment is to be replaced and tablecloths will be purchased to save endless banqueting rolls.
